- most of the courier v.everything daughter board units out in use have been
- upgraded from a previous model, like for instance they used to be a 16.8/
- V.32 Terbo courier before putting a daughterboard in.

- there basically the same except the older models cannot do caller id without
- modificiation.

- nah

-
- not exactly.. daughterboard couriers date back more then 2 or so years old
- back then there was no caller id support, i dont think they were any
- daughterboard v.everythings on store shelves for the last couple years
- maybe the first several v.fc only v.34 ready models on store shelves
- might of been 2 boards i dunno
-
- considering what some companies charge for v.fc to v.34 upgrades i dont
- think anyone has really been ripped off..(by usr) so far usr has added
- selective reject, v.34+, caller id , distinctive ring, 28.8 speeds in leased
- line, etc etc etc.. and the cost of these upgrades was 0
-

- just shine a flashlight though the ventholes the daugterboard will stick out
- like a sore thumb.. in order to hae a daughterboard courier you must of either
- upgraded a previous model or (im not sure about it) bnought a v.fc courier
- when they first hit store shelvs.
-
- i think the other way is to turn the volume down and type ATA or ATXD and
- if you hear a click its teh single board and if you dont its an older
- board.. cause the newer modems have mechanical relays?
